At this year’s Audio Mostly / ICAD 2025, Michael Reichmann and Vincent van Rheden hosted the workshop Let’s Move Together: A Workshop on Movement Data Sonification for Sports and Rehabilitation.
The session invited participants to experiment with mapping movement data to sound, aiming to gather insights on UI/UX design for sonification tools.
Outcomes:
–Hands-on prototyping of movement-to-sound mappings.
-Discussions on user expectations and design strategies.
-Exchange with the wider HCI and sonic interaction communities.
The workshop sparked valuable conversations on sonification strategies and opportunities and community collaboration for future sonification research.
